Lithium Polymer Batteries & QRP

Hello all!

I've been reading the emails about batteries and thought I'd let all know what seems to work for me and others lately regarding small, lightweight batteries for the field and qrp.

In the past I had used a 2.2AH SLA battery to power my K1. It was 24 ounces in weight not to bad. But, compared to my new LiPo battery, it's a boat-anchor!

My new 1.8AH Lithium Polymer Battery provides my KX1 Rig with 12V @ 1.8AH and weighs-in at only four ounces! That's a twenty-ounce weight saving. My new battery measures 3.25" x 2" x .5" and has an IC built-in to protect the battery and me-hi!

If anyone is interested in LiPo Batteries for the field, go to
http://www.batteryspace.com/

Once at the site, click on Li-Ion batteries to find them.
