Join OH2BH 60th Birthday On The Air

Martti J. Laine, OH2BH has provided an abundance
of on-the-air pleasure to Amateur Radio operators the world over by serving
rare countries and exciting prefixes for several decades.
He is up to celebrate his 60th birthday among his friends. Since his
friends are scattered in every corner of the world, this new unique concept
is presented.
You just dress up for the occasion, switch on your radio, and you will
find yourself at the most thrilling birthday party ever. Welcome on board!
The event will commence November 18 at 00.00 UTC and run for 48 hours
until November 19, 2006 23.59 UTC - the 19th being the actual birthday.
It will run on CW and SSB simultaneously, on frequencies .025 and .225,
such as 14.025 and 14.225 with powerful 4O60BH stations from a 600-meter
high mountain perch overlooking the beautiful Kotor Bay in the fledgling
Republic of Montenegro. The radio operations are led by Ranko, YT6A and
Dragan, YT6Y and others from near and far.
But that's not all; you can pass your birthday wishes personally on radio
since you may get an appointment at the time of your choice for 14.225
kHz by sending a request to sked-60@oh2bh.fi. The birthday party station
will then call you at that exact minute. You can also send your birthday
greetings through msg-60@oh2bh.fi.
But even better - following the procedures of any Asian flavored birthday
party, you can obtain a lottery number for a lucky draw from any of the
4O60BH stations. A lucky draw number can be requested by a new one-time
Q-code, QBH. The prizes for the lucky draw will be published next week.
The actual draw will take place at the Monday Dinner Party and the winning
number will be published the following day in The Daily DX and other DX
publications.
The actual Birthday Reception will be held on Monday, November 20 at
18.00 hours at Hotel Vila Aleksandar, Herceg Novi, Montenegro.
QSLs will be via OH2BN and each direct request will be honored by a special
stamp released for the occasion.
