Ofcom statement on higher power limits for licence-exempt devices

Ofcom have published a statement following a consultation on higher power limits for licence-exempt devices.

They have announced there will not be any increase in power level on the 2.4 GHz band.

This will be welcomed by Radio Amateurs, who have an allocation from 2.4 - 2.450 GHz, since any power increase would have adversely affected Amateur TV and Amateur Satellite operations.
