Great Tassie Hamfest

Did you hear that trout jump from the lake?  No, its not a fishing trip, it's the Great Tassie Hamfest 2006.

Yes, its on again the bi-yearly great Tassie Hamfest in the Central Highlands hub of Miena next to the Southern end of the Great Lake.

This fantastic event is hosted by the Central Highlands Amateur Radio Club of Tasmania and is only a couple of weeks away on Saturday December 2nd at 10am.

It takes place in the very well heated Miena Community Hall in Haddon's Bay and the already impressive list of attendees is growing as I speak!

Tet Emtron antennas, Bushcomm Antennas, Icom, Ten Tec, Kenwood, Yaesu will all be represented with their latest offerings. Solar and remote systems with VK Electronics, Diamond antennas, MFJ products, Comet antennas, LDG,
SGC tuners, etc, etc, etc, the list is endless.

ALARA and all three clubs from across the state will be represented and, of course, the pre-loved equipment will be there in abundance.

Lucky door prizes, food will be available at great prices and free tea & coffee all day. $5.00 per person or family will get you in the door.

Look for the signs and if lost call on 438.500MHz or 146.500MHz or CDMA telephone on 0429 123 080.

See you there

Justin, VK7TW
