Last call from Baghdad

I will be going QRT from Iraq today, Sunday November 2nd at 1800Z.

We will then start moving the Baghdad Amateur Radio Society station to its new location (still here at Camp Taji) for the incoming operators to use.

Wayne Gale W9GTO/YI9GTO is the only licensed operator at the moment but more are coming.

If anyone would like to try and contact me before my QRT time, I will be working 20m, 17m, and 15m from 1400Z - 1800Z on Nov 1st and 0800Z - 1800Z on November 2nd.

In particular I will be on 18.130 at 1400Z today for a scheduled U. S. contact. I am only running 100 watts with a small beam so can't promise anything, but I have had over 100 stateside contacts which means it certainly is possible.

Watch the DX clusters because someone usually puts me on. I don't have any internet at the shack.

I won't be leaving quite yet, but I have to get everything packed up and shipped out.

73,

Jeffrey G. Hammer, YI9NIC
Capt, MI
