SARL delegation arrives for IARU conference

The South African Radio League delegation to the IARU Region 1 Conference arrived in Croatia yesterday. The conference starts today.

Rassie Erasmus, ZS1YT, and Dennis Green, ZS4BS, will have their work cut out for them, as there are up to four different sessions running concurrently during some of the days. It would be ideal to send 4 delegates, but funding has prevented that.

The delegation will make a presentation at the final plenary session of the conference, inviting IARU Region 1 to hold the next meeting in South Africa in 2011.

The SARL delegation will also represent the Namibian Radio League at the conference.

A SARL President's net will be held on Sunday 30 November 2008 at 19:30 CAT, during which the delegation will report back on the conference. The technical problems that plagued the previous President's net have been resolved.
