Railroad Depots on the Air

Most of us have heard of Islands on the Air and the Amateur Radio Lighthouse Society. These organizations promote the activation and operation of Islands and Lighthouses, respectively.

It is in that spirit of activity that Railroad Depots on the Air was formed.

Railroad depots were once the focus of a community.
Our organization seeks to recognize the former importance of these structures, as well as provide interesting operating events.

Many people live within short distance of a current or past railroad depot, so there are many opportunities for community events, public setups, or just sitting in the parking lot with a mobile rig.
