New offshore radio book: 'Death of a Pirate'The website of the Wall Street Journal has published a review of a new book by Adrian Johns called Death of a Pirate, focusing on Major Oliver Smedley who launched the British offshore station Radio Atlanta in 1964, and was subsequently acquitted of the murder of fellow offshore station owner Reg Calvert. This review is of the US edition, but it is also available in the UK. The book was published on 26 October. Source: Media Network
