Radio Waddenzee/Radio Seagull double DVD

A limited edition double DVD showing the history of Dutch commercial radio stations Radio Waddenzee and Radio Seagull, paying special attention to the refitting of the radio ship Jenni Baynton, will be released this month.

Filmed by Walter Galle and cineaste Luca Galle, DVD 1 consists of footage showing the transmitter sites with spectacular shots of the adjusting of the masts in Moddergat, the temporary transmitter site in 2006 as well as putting the mast on the Jenni Baynton in 2007.

Of course the ship takes a central position in the production. On DVD 1 the absolute beginning , on DVD 2 the focus is on the offshore projects in 2008, 2009 and 2010 with exciting moments (storm), dramatic moments (the battle with the buoy) and emotional moments (a reunion after many years). Not just shots of the celebrities who visited the ship, but also of the many visitors who were on the ship during the offshore days.

The sale of the limited edition double CD starts during the annual offshore radio day in Hotel Casa 400 in Amsterdam on Saturday 13 November.
