BLUEsat launch timing announced

University of New South Wales BLUEsat is now scheduled for launch November next year.

Using the AMSAT-North America microsat configuration, it is to be a data mode satellite with a 2-metre band uplink and 70-centimetre downlink.

BLUEsat engineers and engineering students at the university have been carrying out a range of tasks in a clean room that provides a dust and static free environment.
This is essential to manufacture the solar modules, circuit boards and final assembly of the satellite.

More information can be found at http://www.bluesat.unsw.edu.au/ or via the link on the Amateur Radio Victoria website.
