Amateur Radio - home of the good guys

The amateur radio spirit of cooperation solves a problem

When an HF EchoLink Node from ZL popped up recently on 3790 kHz in the VK 80 metre band DX window, it caused interference to some chasing DX and raised questions about its operation.

A few e-mails later however, and the HF EchoLink Node sysop has apologised for the unintended interference on what he said sounded like a clear frequency in Auckland, New Zealand.

In future the HF EchoLink Node, operated by the Papakura Radio Club, will be operating well below the expanded Australian 80 metre DX window.
