UWE-1 Team needs help!Graham G3VZV reports hearing signals on Saturday morning from UWE-1 and Xi-V - it's amazing how strong 80mW sounds with a x19 element antenna, sadly nothing heard from SSETI Express or NCUBE. XI-V - 437.345 MHz using 1200 baud FSK with CW on 436.465 MHz, try the CW beacon it's the easiest to receive despite only running 80mw. NCUBE2 - 437.305 but not heard. This one will be very tricky since it only transmits every 2 minutes (but with 1.5 watts). UWE-1 - 437.505 is running 9K6 FSK but again very tricky since it gives a 1 second burst every minute. Graham passes on this message from the UWE team in Wuerzburg. UWE-1 Team Needs Help! Thank you very much for your help until now! It seems we have a serious situation in Wuerzburg, Germany: due to the extremely unfavorable weather conditions in Wuerzburg (heavy clouds and very thick fog, with visibility sometimes less than 10 m), we were not able to decode much of the sensor data from UWE-1 during the last two passes over our ground station. We have already prepared a list with new equipment we need for the GS, but it might take a while to get it, as 1.Nov. 2005 is a national bank holiday in Germany. We are able to send commands to the satellite and we can receive the answers, but the signals we received were S2-S3 level on our S-meter. The last reliable data we have are already 30 hours old. We would urgently need some beacon data in order to characterize the status of our subsystems and decide how to continue the mission. As you already know, UWE-1 is sending one beacon every 60 seconds on 437.505+- MHz, 1200baud AFSK. One beacon is 33 bytes long and you can find attached an example about how to decode part of the beacon data (in case you want to do it by yourself). We would be very happy to receive also raw (.hex) data, we can decode them here. Please send the data to: cubesat@informatik.uni-wuerzburg.de. Thank you very much! Please forward this email to everyone able to help us with some new data. You can find attached the newest TLE data. As far as I understood from our ground station team, they have always used the first ones. Thank you very much for your support!
