W4JO - JOTA 2005

On Saturday, October 15, BSA Troop 204, Marietta, Georgia, will have 3 hf stations set up participating in the global Scout "Jamboree-on-the-Air".

Our callsign will be W4JO, and the station line-up will be:

Station #1 on 20m (+/-14290): Kenwood TS850s / Heathkit SB200 / Hex beam portable

Station #2 on 40m (+/-7270): Yaesu FT897 / W5GI mystery antenna

Station #3 on 17m (+/-18140): Yaesu FT1000d / Buddipole

We will be operating at the Merit Badge University held at Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, Georgia. We plan to operate from 1300 - 2000 UTC.

Over 600 Boy Scouts will be taking one of the 42 Merit Badge classes offered at the event, and we are hoping for a good turnout for the radio Jamboree.
