Jamboree on the air - 15 /16 OctoberThe annual Boy and Girl Scouts "Jamboree on the Air" amateur radio event is taking place on 15 and 16 October. The scouts will be treated to numerous demonstrations of amateur radio and will even be able to use the AO-51 satellite. The AO-51 command team is making the satellite available exclusively for the scouts over the weekend of the jamboree. The AO-51 will be configured in the Dual FM repeater mode for the event. This will provide two independent FM repeaters (separate uplink and downlink frequencies) over the 15-16 October. This mode will also run on Monday through Friday before the event to allow amateur satellite stations to familiarise and test this mode.
