Adaptive Home Logic V1.02Acentient Software has just released v1.02 of Adaptive Home Logic, a new multi-purpose home automation application for Windows XP. This new program, which can interface with many home automation peripherals, generic serial devices and parallel input / output boards, integrates many advanced features to offer wide ranging flexibility within an easy to use and understand application.
Featuring Scheduling / Conditional Events, 2-way Speech, Remote Control
and Reporting (Internet / Amateur Radio), Digital I/O,
Serial Data (RS-232 / RS-485), X10, File Data, The program also introduces the unique concept of being able to be remotely accessed by an APRS equipped amateur radio, via the amateur packet radio network. This is the only home automation application that can be remotely controlled and report to an APRS equipped amateur radio, independently of anyone else’s communication infrastructure!
Because the program’s been designed from the ground up, encompassing the computer’s standard interfaces, it’s particularly good with interfacing to a diverse selection of generic serial (RS-232 / RS-485) devices and or parallel (printer port type and or ISA / PCI bus type) input / output boards and peripherals. This makes it ideal for the electronics hobbyist and for the many low voltage and specialist automation applications, allowing for a very flexible, reliable and unique Home Automation system to be established, without forcing you into a significant investment path in proprietary technology. It can of course work with many home automation peripherals, as well as control mains voltage appliances via the existing house wiring, using the widely available, inexpensive, tried and tested and easy to use X10 modules The program can be used to form the basis of a simple or sophisticated home automation system, as well as for other automation applications. Adaptive Home Logic is currently available at an introductory price of just $34.95
