GB2RS MT63 data transmissions

Some listeners have reported difficulty in finding the RSGB's GB2RS MT63 data transmissions.

The MT63 data mode news bulletins go out every Sunday evening at 20.15 local time on 3,600kHz. This transmission is repeated again at 20.45 local time on 1,840kHz.
The transmissions go out on USB, with a 1kHz bandwidth and 100wpm output.

Sometimes on 3,600kHz a repeat transmission using 2kHz bandwidth 200wpm may be made, after the initial transmission, when propagation conditions are good.

The MT63 mode has proved to be extremely robust and may be read reliably even when voice signals are down in the noise.

GB2RS news manager Gordon Adams is seeking volunteers to assist with these transmissions. His phone number is 01565 652 652.
