GB7MI on the air

With software and hardware tests now complete, Manchester's GB7MI is available using Echolink.

Non digital users connecting to GB7MI via Echolink, using non digital sources, will be able to QSO with digital users using GB7MI, without any changes to their non-digital equipment. The Digital/Analogue audio difference is resolved at GB7MI.

There are two repeaters at the same location, GB3MI and GB7MI, both on the same frequency using only separate TX and RX, all other equipment being shared.

Local RF users are now able to select which of the repeaters they wish to use by a DTMF command control.
