ISS crossband repeater active

Kenneth, N5VHO reports that astronaut Mike Fincke, KE5AIT activated the U/v crossband repeater onboard the ISS on Tuesday.

Enjoy while it is up.

Reminder:
The uplink is UHF (437.800 MHz) which can have up to 10 KHz of Doppler either side of the center frequency.

Downlink is 145.800 MHz.

No PL tone.


David Barber, G8OQW, comments: "the ISS cross-band repeater is working extremely well" and adds: "during this morning's 06.50 UTC pass (29 October) over the UK, it was accessible during the full period of visibility".

David also stressed the importance of the Doppler correction on the uplink.
