At 16:03 Martin says that "starting back in 1975 the first interest in space [at University of Surrey] came out of the Amateur Radio community tracking some of the very early Amateur Radio satellites like Oscar 6.

The first University of Surrey satellite UOSAT 1 (OSCAR 9) launched in 1981 is mentioned 16:40 into the video.
