2008 AMSAT Space Symposium begins this week

The 2008 Harry Yoneda JA1ANG AMSAT Space Symposium and Annual Meeting is right on schedule for October 24-26, 2008.

Highlights of the weekend include:

• Board of Director's Meeting on October 23 - 24.

• AMSAT-NA General Membership Meeting on Saturday, October 25 from 10-12 AM Eastern Daylight Time (UTC-4). The AMSAT General Meeting will be broadcast on EchoLink AMSAT Conference, node 101377. Users may ask questions via the chat link.

• AMSAT Annual Banquet will be held on Saturday evening October 25. The banquet speaker is Daniel Schultz, N8FQV who will describe the The Hubble Space Telescope Repair Mission.

• AMSAT's Field Operations Breakfast will be held on Sunday morning, October 26.

• A free Sunday morning workshop 'Introduction to Digital Signal Processing' presented by Phil Harman, VK6APH.

• The grand prize to be given away at the Banquet this year is an ICOM IC-910.
