Servamus react to draft Spectrum Management

In its proposals on the DRAFT SPECTRUM MANAGEMENT the Servamus/Community Police Forum/Emcom Amateur Radio Wing reported back to the South African Department of Communication with these proposals

1.That the frequencies as is, to stay with the rest of the world to promote uniformity with the rest of the world.

2.That EMCOM matters should always be taken into consideration when it becomes aplicable with spectrum management.

3.That the Independent Communication Authority of South Africa be the only authority to manage and administer the Spectrum Policy with the S A Police Service to coordinate the legal path of policing Spectrum Management.

The Draft as per Gazette no 3257 dated 18/9/2009 was found to be Democratic and Fair. This report back was done strictly with the view on Emergency Communications.
