EU Radio Spectrum Policy

On September 20, 2010 the EU commission adopted its proposal to the European Parliament and Council for a first Radio Spectrum Policy Programme.

This outlines at a strategic level how the use of spectrum can contribute to the most important political objectives of the European Union from 2011 to 2015.

The proposal is part of a package of measures regarding broadband communications; wireless broadband is essential to deliver the target of broadband for all by 2013, which is one of the key goals of the Digital Agenda for Europe.
