IET - Radio Amateurs to celebrate Wireless Double CentenaryThe IET magazine reports that the Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society (CARS) will be among those celebrating a double centenary in the history of wireless communications. To commemorate the achievements of the Airship America the Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society will transmit from the Marconi Hut at Sandford Mill Museum on Sunday, October 17, 2010 using the Special Event call-sign GB100MWT. Other Amateur Radio stations around the world will be active including the Marconi Radio Club of America, W1AA.
