The Leicester Show is on 1 and 2 October

The Leicester Amateur Radio Show takes place on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 October at Donington Park in north-west Leicestershire, close to junction 23A of the M1 motorway.

The show features the usual traders, club stands and an RSGB bookstall and information desk. In addition, there is a convention programme with a number of well-known lecturers.

The Convention includes an RSGB Forum and presentations by Bob Heil, K9EID, of Heil Sound, called ‘It all starts at the microphone'; by the Five Star DXers Association on the 3B9C Rodrigues DXpedition and by Peter Dodd, G3LDO, on Backyard Antennas.

There is a major change to the layout of the parking and camping arrangements this year, and visitors must take notice of the stewards, the special 'Radio Show' signs, and the one-way system. The disabled parking area is unaffected but, again, drivers should follow the signs and the one-way system. Those camping on-site should look for signs to the 'Radio Caravan and Camping' site where an RCC steward will direct them to the general camping area. For more detailed information, including a map, see the Leicester Show website.

Unfortunately, Morse proficiency tests will not be held at the show this year, due to a lack of manpower. The organisers apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause to visitors.

The RAIBC AGM also takes place at the Leicester Show; further details from Chairman@raibc.org
