GB2RS on experimental MT63
data transmissions

Some data enthusiasts are already aware of the experimental MT63 data transmissions being made by selected GB2RS newsreaders on Sundays. These are put out under the newsreader's own callsign direct to another participating station - so that this is not a broadcast and others may join in.

The texts are in a Raynet-style message format and employ MT63-1kHz at 100 words per minute followed by MT63-2kHz at 200 words per minute.

Listen on 5290kHz nominal at 1330 and on 1990kHz at 2045 local time. Shortly a further schedule will take place at 2000 on 3590kHz. The 160 and 80 metre signals may be found up to 1993kHz and 3593kHz to avoid QRM.

Volunteers to transmit the MT63 traffic on a rota basis are required urgently. If you would like to know more, please telephone the GB2RS News Manager Gordon Adams, G3LEQ, on 01565 652652 or e-mail him via gb2rs@boltblue.com
