BPL interference - the battle continues

The currently operating VK7 Aurora BPL trial is said to have a timeframe of between 9-12 months and will involve 500 users.

Aurora is using it's telecommunication arm - Tastel - to sell and promote the broadband products that will be carried by the BPL technology. It's success will be judged on the number of subscribers that Tastel can attract.

The Tassie version of the ABC-TV program "StateWide" this week will have a look at BPL, but from the Ham prospective. Justin VK7TW is interviewed.

Those outside VK7 can see it on ABC Digital channel 21 , or the "other" ABC Channel, Foxtel subscribers their digital platform also will air this.

If you haven't already, we encourage all amateurs and interested people to take a look at the WIA website, check out the BPL link and familiarise yourself with BPL technology, what it sounds like on the air and what it looks like on the poles.
