SoftRock-40

This looks like a good construction project for the winter months.

The SoftRock-40 is a small, low-cost, good performing 40-metre "software defined radio" multi-mode receiver that plugs into a computer USB port and delivers I-Q audio signals to the computer's sound card.

See: http://www.amqrp.org/kits/softrock40/index.html

The source code is also available from the website.
