WIA assessor training continues

This past weekend, September 10 and 11, the Gold Coast Amateur Radio Club hosted the latest WIA assessor training session.

To date, 93 people Australia-wide have applied to become WIA assessors, a result which reflects the enthusiasm that many people in the amateur service have for the soon to
be introduced Foundation Licence.

The breakdown of applicants state by state is, The ACT - 3, New South Wales - 20, Victoria - 21, Queensland - 26, South Australia - 18, Western Australia 3 and Tasmania 3.

We would like to remind everyone to keep an eye on the website or an ear to the WIA's National News broadcast for updates on progress with the foundation licence and the new licensing arrangements for the Standard grade licences.
