Worked All Britain awards programme

A reminder about the Worked all Britain awards programme – or WAB as it is commonly known.

Throughout the year the WAB group runs contests on all amateur radio bands and popular modes. Any licenced radio amateur, or SWL, can take part in these contests and may use any band/mode their licence permits. The object of the contests is to contact as many WAB areas and DXCC countries as possible.

Most WAB contests are of a short duration, although the flagship HF contest is a full 24 hour event. A calendar of WAB contests can be found on the web. Visit www.worked-all-britain.co.uk.

WAB also holds an activity week between 26 December and 6 January where the aim is to work as many book holders as possible.

A certificate is available to all participants, and again full details can be found on the WAB website
