News from VK6

Although we don't hear from VK6 very often, I can assure you that there is a constant flurry of activity on the education front.

There have recently been several new assessors inducted to assist with the growing numbers of applicants applying for foundation calls - and for those F calls that have been well and truly bitten by the bug and want to then proceed to the next levels of their licence.

During the month of August we saw Peter, Bob and Bryce attain their Standard licences after only a short time at the F call status - well done VK6PMY, 6PAC and 6POP.

In addition there were 9 Foundation calls, 1 Advanced passed during July/August and they are now patiently awaiting the allocation of their call signs look forward to talking to you all soon. It does not stop there - with 9 people lined up for the next available Foundation Course and subsequent exams.

There are currently 3 members who are studying Morse (and doing well - keep up the good work team).
