26 MHz DRM in the United States

A website has been set up promoting the use of 26 MHz DRM for local broadcasting in the United States.

The site plays down the problems of co-channel interfence that will occur at these frequencies regardless of the stage of the Solar Cycle.

Radio Amateurs have shown that world-wide communications are possible using less than 400 watts on nearby frequencies such as 28 MHz, even at sunspot minimum.

In addition to F layer propagation, which permits signals to travel around the world, 26 MHz is also subject to Sporadic E which can result in severe co-channel interference from stations 1500 km away.
