Ofcom statement on Digital PMR-446On Wednesday Ofcom published an update on the proposed introduction of the licence exempt use of Digital PMR446 compliant private mobile radio (PMR) equipment in the 446.1 to 446.2 MHz band. The document clarifies that this band will not become ‘licence exempt’, rather a band in which equipment that meets certain technical requirements may be operated on a licence exempt basis.
