Ofcom PMSE Consultation responses now available

The Ofcom consultion Programme Making and Special Events (PMSE): Future Spectrum Access has drawn a considerable number of responses which are now available on the Ofcom website.

A number of key organsitions have submitted responses.

The response from Vodafone also highlights the rapid changes taking place in Digital TV which could render existing TV Set Top Boxes obsolete.

It says:
"Already the use of MPEG 4 is being proposed (which would be incompatible with existing DVB-T set top boxes). It is inconceivable that DVB-H with MPEG-2 (or probably even MPEG-4) will still be in use in twenty years time - it could be
obsolescent in less than a decade."
