Worker dies after fall from radio tower

A West Virginia man has fallen to his death while dismantling a storm-damaged radio tower in suburban Pittsburgh.

Officials say 51-year-old Daniel Plants of Triadelphia was wearing a safety belt, but they don't know if it was attached.

Authorities say it appears the Ohio County man fell some 100 feet from the tower in East Deer Township, Pennsylvania, yesterday.

The radio tower was one of two used by gospel radio station WGBN.

Station general manager the Reverend Loran Mann says Plants was hired to dismantle the radio tower that had been severely damaged by spring storms.
