VK/ZL 30 Meter Digital Weekend (October)
After a poll recently taken on the 30 meter PSK Group it was decided
there was enough interest to go ahead with a activity weekend in:
1) Promoting the Digital Mode side of that band and
2) Giving everyone world-wide a chance to work us Down Under..
Let's face it, we are still rather rare to many overseas amateurs plus
a excellent opportunity propagation wise to see how this band really ticks
since it has been basically left untouched "Digi-Wise" till
recently.
There has already been a list of VK/ZL's along with those from North America
and UK/Europe who are keen to participate but it would be appreciated
if you have some spare time over the Labour Day Weekend to join in and
make a few contacts that would be great! This is strictly a casual event.
I'll be promoting this event on this Reflector
(the KiwiDxList) and others over the next few weeks to drum up interest
while Don KB9UMT and Trey KA4ITV (Moderators of the 30
Meter PSK Group) promote it within North America and on the PSK Group
site. It would be appreciated if one of our friends in Europe could do
the same.
For us in ZL the most productive time will be around our Sunset and Sunrise
Times in working Europe and during the evening time/midnight to work the
USA/Canada during their morning sunrise times. More info to follow as
the date nears.
