Chris Megaw VK4FCC upgrades - remotely

Those of you who listened to the WIA's Remembrance Day opening address this year will remember Chris Megaw VK4FCCC's words along with Snow VK4IFS, who was serving in Afghanistan at the time.

Chris is an Australian Army Blackhawk Helicopter pilot currently serving in East Timor.

Chris has just sat a remote assessment from East Timor conducted by VK4DMC Dale McCarthy, a WIA Nominated Assessor. Chris was successful and soon will have a new advanced level call.

The assessment was conducted via landline with a Senior Army Officer supervising Chris in East Timor.

It was interesting to note that prior to the assessment, the exam papers were treated like a piece of enemy intelligence and secured behind razor wire, locked doors, and in a combination safe.
