CubeSat launch opportunities in 2009 and 2010

ISIS is a company that spun out of the Delfi-C3 Amateur Radio satellite project. Their aim to provide launch services for Cubesats.

ISIS have just announced launch opportunities for 2009/10, they say:

Last year, we already announced our independent ISIS Launch Services for small satellites like CubeSats to you with a launch opportunity in 2008. With a slight delay in readiness of the primary payload, this launch will take place in January 2009. We are very pleased to enter the final preparation phase for this launch for three CubeSats, with possibly even a last-minute fourth CubeSat to be added to the list.

Meanwhile, we have worked on expanding our ISILaunch services in terms of number of opportunities and additional services and flexibility. For instance, we are currently finalizing the development of our own launch adaptor, or CubeSat dispenser, presently going by the name 'ISIPOD'.

With this adaptor, which is light-weight, customizable for off-standard dimensions and free of export restrictions, we can easily accommodate 1U, 2U and 3U CubeSats to be launched on the majority of the launch vehicles available. Also, if so desired, our launch services may for example include the required environmental testing for acceptance by the launch service provider.

For a detailed description of our launch services, please have a look at our website ( http://www.isilaunch.com / http://www.isispace.nl ) or visit my presentation at the IAC, session D2.2 on Tuesday 30 September, titled
A Global Approach to Small Satellite Launch Services;
'The Hitchhiker's Guide to Orbit'
.

With regard to upcoming launch opportunities, we are very pleased to announce the following firm launches available for CubeSats:

2009:

* Mar/Apr, ~550-600km 41° inclination, India, multiple slots

* June, ~817km Sun Synchronous, 10:30 LTDN, India, multiple slots

* Jul/Sep, ~670km Sun Synchronous, 10:15 LTDN, India, multiple slots

2010:

* Jan/Mar, ~820km 20° inclination, India, several slots

* Mid, 600-800km Sun Synchronous, India, multiple slots

* Late, 600-900km Sun Synchronous, Brazil, multiple slots

In addition, we are discussing a number of other launch possibilities with several launch vehicle providers, with the aim to further increase the CubeSat launch opportunities. These opportunities are available for nanosatellites and small microsatellites as well.

For more information on one or more of the above opportunities, please contact us directly at info@isilaunch.com (or me personally at a.r.bonnema at isispace.nl ).

Also, if you have any specific (or 'exotic') orbit requirements, feel free to contact us, and we will search for a matching launch opportunity.

You may also visit us at the IAC in Glasgow, where we have a booth (part of booth #2020).

Looking forward to your interest.

Best regards,

Abe Bonnema
