First D-Star repeater in Azores Islands

The Ham Radio community and the Portuguese colleagues in particular are cheerful in recognition for a brand new D-Star repeater CQ0DAH B, in Terceira Island / Azores permanently installed.

This equipment passed a test period after a relatively short time. The location is Santa Bárbara Mountain in Terceira Island – Archipelago of Azores

Thanks to an agreement between the regional Ham Radio Association, U.R.A. - União de Radioamadores dos Açores, and Icom's national agent NAUCOM corporation, and also with local ANACOM Office (the Portuguese administration of telecommunications) it was possible to achieve this ambition project.

On behalf of all ham radio colleagues, by this unique opportunity to contribute for some avant-garde experiments on the innovative digital technology D-STAR in Azores Islands.
