Russia to go for CEPT Novice

It looks as though the Russian Federation may join the CEPT Amateur Radio Novice reciprocal agreement as well as CEPT Class 1.

The CEPT Novice is the equivalent of UK Intermediate and many European nations have signed up to it allowing their licence holders to operate Amateur Radio when visiting signatory countries. CEPT Class 1 is equivalent to UK Advance.

The Soyuz Radiolyubiteley Rossii (SRR) website says:

Commission decided to recommend GKRCH adhere to the recommendations of the Committee on electronic communications ESA / REC (05) 06 "Amateur license SEPT newcomer (NOVICE), T / R 61-01" License ham countries - members of CEPT ", T / R 61-02 "Harmonized certificate SEPT radio at work" and to inform the European Bureau of the intention of the Administration of Radio Communications of the Russian Federation to implement the provisions of these recommendations.

Rossvyazkomnadzoru tasked together with the RAF to prepare and submit to the draft amateur service Rules to GKRCH by 01 November 2008. Recommended Minkomsvyazi Russia to finalize the instructions on the preparation of radio and radio qualification in the Russian Federation and the Union of Russia radio use of the ERC Report 32 (Amateur examination program for the novice (NOVICE) and radio examination certificate newcomer (NOVICE)) in the preparation of proposals for guidelines in amateur communications.
