UK Amateur Radio Licences as at 31st August 2008

The UK regulator Ofcom has supplied the figures for the total number of Amateur Radio Licences issued as at 31st August

Again this month shows a strong increase in the number of Full/Advanced licence holders over the past year.

This is likely to be due to Amateurs originally licenced back in the 1980’s or 90’s, but since expired, coming back into the hobby following the licence changes that have taken place in recent years.
