UK criticises phone fee shake-up

According to the BBC the UK regulator Ofcom has expressed concern about the proposals by the European Commission (EC) to reduce mobile phone charges.

The BBC reports that in June, EU telecoms commissioner Viviane Reding said the current disparity in call termination rates between different countries meant that consumers were being ripped off.
