New VHF repeater in Pathanamthitta VU2DFD

We have extreme pleasure to announce that the effort behind our dream project has been a success, and recently we got the call sign for our dream repeater VU2DFD (Frequency 144.475 + Standard 600 kHz Shift).

The proposed new repeater will be erected in the eastern side of Pathanamthitta district in Kerala. Preliminary steps to erect the same have begun, and testing for critical reports, direction, fading, and sensitivity have started.

Luckily, vu2dfd has the following plus points.

• Height - Around 250M above from the sea level.
• State border - Located in 60 Km away from Kerala Tamilnadu border.
• Wide area of coverage - Signal coverage around Kerala, Tamilnadu & Karnataka.
• Security - Easily accessible location with protection and power.
