GB2CWP on-the-air from a Lancaster Bomber

The Lincoln Short Wave Club have been given permission to operate GB2CWP ('Christopher Whitton Panton') from inside the Avro Lancaster Bomber NX611 'Just Jane', the Lancaster bomber operated by Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre at RAF East Kirkby, Spilsby, Lincolnshire, England (EU-005, WLOTA L-1841).

The station will be on the air September 5th.

Modern equipment will be used in the Lancaster for safety and practicality, however, when the aircraft is taxiing, the team will operate GB2CWP's T1154 and R1155 from the museum shack.

Special QSL cards will be available for all stations working GB2CWP from the aircraft. QSL via G5FZ.
