Reed Solomon Identifier (RSID) on Wiki

An article has been posted to Wikipedia about the Reed Solomon Identifier (RSID) system that is used to provide automatic identification of various Amateur Radio digital modes.

RSID was created by Patrick Lindecker F6CTE and added to the version 4.1.1 of Multipsk in November 2006. It allows the automatic identification of any digital transmission in the RX/TX modes handled by Multipsk (103 modes and sub-modes in version 4.8, from BPSK31 to JT65-C) plus the FDMDV mode from Cesco (HB9TLK).

At the present time five programs are known to support RSID:

• PocketDigi by Vojtech (OK1IAK)

• FDMDV by Cesco (HB9TLK)

• DM780 by Simon (HB9DRV)

• FLdigi by Dave (W1HKJ)

• Multipsk by Patrick (F6CTE)
