King Bhumibol Adulyadej, HS1A, in hospital

The King of Thailand, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, HS1A, was admitted to Bangkok's Siriraj Hospital on Saturday night.

King Bhumibol Adulyadej was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and is the world's longest-serving monarch. He holds the Amateur Radio call sign HS1A.

The 81-year-old king has been in hospital since Saturday, when he was put on a drip after being diagnosed with fever, fatigue and loss of appetite.

"His Majesty's body temperature has returned to normal.
He is eating again and is sleeping well," the royal household said in a statement.
