50th Dutch Ham Radio Convention
On November 6, 2010, the 50th Ham Radio Convention will take place in The Netherlands organised by VERON, the Dutch radio society.
There will be a homebrew exhibition and of course the AMRATO (Amateur radio equipment sales), the VERON Components market (flea market) and stands of various commissions and working groups will be present.
There will be a number of interesting presentations on subjects of different aspects in the hobby (in Dutch):
"Can Sat, secondary school students build a satellite in a can”, by Lynn Miggelbrinck and Henk Vrolijk, PA0HPV.
“Interference on our frequency bands and the role of the Radio Communications Agency (RCA)”, by the VERON “EMC-EMF Commission". The RCA Netherlands acts as the watchdog, implementer and expert across the entire domain of electronic communication. As a specialized agency of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the three main tasks of RCA Netherlands are to obtain, allocate and protect frequency space. This presentation will focus on the current approach to protect the frequencies allocated to amateurs.
“Lopik Radio – then and now”, by Rein Simonse en Bernard Grijpstra, from the “ Omroep Zender Museum.”. A time travel, looking at the aspects Lopik Radio.
“Active at 500kHz, what is possible and what do you need to do", by Albert Westenberg, PA0A.
The event takes place on November 6 in the Americahal, Laan van Erica 50, 7321 BX, Apeldoorn, Netherlands.
